We welcome and will send ALL ESDCTA Youth members (25 & Under) who wish to participate. Fundraising, volunteering, and partial reimbursement available, but not required in order to be on a team. The following selection criteria will be used for all ESDCTA-sponsored youth eventing teams:
- The rider must be ESDCTA member in good standing, age 25 or younger.
- Submit at least 2 scores from schooling and/or USEA recognized horse trials held during the qualifying period of the event at the Starter, Elementary, Beginner Novice or Novice level with zero XC jump penalties (time penalties permitted). Include your Jr/YR placing. Scores must be received at shows between the applicable qualifying period and you must be an ESDCTA member when the scores were received.
- A rider may compete on a different horse from the one on which the qualifying scores were received if the horse can compete at the same level (or lower). Applicant must also be eligible to compete according to the rules detailed in the competition prize list including being up to date on USEA/USEF memberships, if applicable.
